Hebrew calendar for Mobile

I present to you on this page the whole history of the creation of the software. I put quite a lot of time in searching for information on the internet and programming :
Although my knowledge exists for all the operating systems on the Web, I am interested in the creation of this software because none of those existing corresponded to what I want.
At the beginning I had a Nokia 2630 phone and I found two Java applications but I was obliged to change the hand if it was daylight savings time or not.
Then with my Smartphone Samsung I780 with Windows mobile 6.1 I have found that a calendar in a tabular or a lot of manipulation was necessary to display useful information.
It is there that I have first talked with the creators of these applications to find out if they could modify their applications. Some were accepted.
I therefore put to the programming.
You should know that originally I learned programming through a course of GWBASIC on TO7.
The Basic since has evolved in complexity and even though the Visual Basic is pretty close to the BASIC of my childhood, I preferred WinDev Mobile de PCSOFT 's PCSOFT, which is rather well documented with many examples provided and especially less complex.
So I started to program the Windows Mobile Version of my calendar.
This allowed me to learn a lot of thing on PCSOFT products.

First step:

Find the algo to convert a Gregorian date in Hebrew date.
There are three on the Web:
  • the algo which passes first through a Gregorian date conversion to date Julien then to Hebrew date.
  • the algo which passes by the formula of Gauss used for my display of Hebrew date on this site.
  • the algo from the site of calj that I allowed myself to adapt WLanguage in my program because it is one that I found the best explanation.
  • Second step:

    Find the algorithm for the calculation of hours of lighting the Shabbat candles and the end of Shabbat.
    I have found that small information on zmanim and calj website.
    I ended up finding the mathematical formulas of sunrise and sunset on the site of Jean-Paul CORNEC.
    Not being very mathematicians this is the step that gave me the most work.

    Third step:

    Where my work was theoretically finished.Hear you say me!
    This is where I realized the need to propose to manage the geographical coordinates and the daylight crossings.
    For geographic coordinates I be the one to propose either enter them manually, or find them via the internet. (Soon I will try to propose as detected by the GPS of the device chip.)

    Fourth step:

    Display some information in Hebrew.
    Indeed although Windev and Windev Mobile theoretically handle displaying in Hebrew it took finding how to change the program depending on each operating system.

    Fifth step:

    Find the algo to pass at a Hebrew date display « transliteration » or « phonetic » has a Hebrew date display in Hebrew with the principle of gematria .

    Sixth step :

    Find algo schedules halakhic of the day.
    Indeed: religious people must do certain prayers according to a specific schedule.
    I therefore matched my algo of hours of Shabbat the zmanim.

    Seventh step :

    Adapt the algo provided on–site calj in Wlanguage for the Parasha of the week.

    Eighth step :

    Find the algo from the list of Jewish holidays.

    Ninth step :

    Create a Mini book of prayers ("Sidour") to prevail in my Smartphone.

    Tenth stage :

    Create this site to introduce the software.

    Next steps :

    Find how to detect the coordinates via the GPS of the device chip, translate the software in different languages. You want to add a function to which I thought not contact me.
